Leonardo Express — The ideal daytime solution. The last train departs Fiumicino at 23:23 and the first morning service leaves at 06:23. For any arrival between midnight and 6 AM, the train simply does not exist.
Night bus — A few lines operate, but with winding routes, stops at the city's outskirts, and journey times that stretch beyond 90 minutes. Not ideal with luggage after a long flight.
Taxi — Available, but with one important variable: at night, Roman taxis apply a night tariff (higher base fare) and availability during the dead hours is below demand. There is no meeting in arrivals — you must exit, find the taxi rank, and wait.

Taxis are not guaranteed. At night, radio taxi availability at Fiumicino is lower than during daytime peaks.
