Maker Faire Rome is Europe's largest event dedicated to innovation, creativity and making. It takes place every October at EUR, primarily at the La Nuvola complex (New Congress Centre by Fuksas) on Viale Asia, sometimes with outdoor areas in the district's gardens.
The 2024 edition attracted over 100,000 visitors across three days, with an international audience from across Europe. Professional makers, tech companies, students, families, corporate delegations: all converging on the same corner of Rome in the same time slots.
The exact date of Maker Faire Rome 2026 is confirmed on the official site makerfaire.eu in spring. Historically it falls in the third weekend of October.
Private NCC Driver (Recommended)
Hotel pick-up, drop-off directly at the venue entrance, collection at the agreed time. For groups or families with children this is the most convenient option, especially arriving from Fiumicino or staying outside the centre.
Metro B – EUR Fermi or EUR Palasport Stations
Metro Line B connects Roma Termini to EUR in about 20–25 minutes. The EUR Fermi stop is closest to La Nuvola (10 minutes on foot). The EUR Palasport stop is an alternative. On high-traffic days carriages are overcrowded between 09:30–11:30 and 18:00–20:30.
Shuttle Bus from the City Centre
At large editions extra shuttle buses run from Termini or from EUR Fermi to the venue. Check the event's official website for up-to-date information.
Private Car
Not recommended on peak days. Paid car parks in EUR fill up by 10:00. Free parking requires a 15–20 minute walk.
Arriving after 10:30 means choosing between distant parking (and a long walk with whatever you're carrying to a maker event) or turning back empty-handed. With a driver the problem doesn't exist: dropped off at the entrance, collected wherever you need whenever you want.
For visitors coming from outside Rome — particularly from Fiumicino or the Castelli Romani — a private driver is also financially competitive compared with a parking garage.
- Booking via WhatsApp or online form: pick-up address (hotel, Airbnb, station), time, number of people
- On-time pick-up — driver arrives 5 minutes before the agreed time
- Drop-off at the venue entrance — the driver knows the authorised access points and stopping zones at EUR
- End-of-day collection — agreed in advance or updated via WhatsApp during your visit
For those attending multiple days, a full day with a dedicated driver is available: morning transport, availability for any mid-day transfers (lunch out, intermediate hotel, extra trips), evening transport.
To understand the difference between taxi and NCC in Rome, the private driver in Rome guide answers the most common questions. For international visitors who want to combine Maker Faire with an afternoon of sightseeing, the Rome tour by private driver guide offers optimised itineraries.
Maker Faire typically runs 3 days (Friday–Sunday). Those attending multiple days can book the full-day service for each day or arrange a tailored package.
