Unlike a taxi or a ride-sharing app, this service comes with fixed rates agreed upon before departure, no running meter, a driver who knows Rome inside out, and a premium vehicle — Mercedes E-Class saloon or V-Class van — always included in the price.

My Rome Driver offers two packages: half day (4 hours) starting from €180 and full day (8 hours) starting from €300. Both rates are per vehicle, not per person — making them particularly cost-effective for families, couples, or small groups.

On the day, your driver arrives 5–10 minutes early at the agreed location, greets you with a personalised name board, and from that moment is entirely at your service. You decide where to go, how long to stay, whether to add an unplanned stop or swap destinations. The driver handles traffic, restricted zones (ZTL), parking, and all logistics. At the end of the booked hours, they drop you wherever you need — hotel, airport, restaurant or railway station.

Multi-stop sightseeing. With a half day you can visit the Vatican Museums, stroll through Trastevere and finish at Campo de' Fiori — all without touching a bus or metro. With a full day you can hit every major landmark: Vatican, Colosseum, Pantheon, Piazza Navona, Trastevere and Via Condotti in a single, seamless journey. No transfers to coordinate, no taxis to hail at busy intersections.

Luxury shopping. Via Condotti, Via Borgognona, Via Frattina — Rome's golden shopping mile is far more enjoyable when a driver is waiting outside each boutique. No struggling with bags on public transport, no last-minute taxi hunts.

Business travel. Executives attending several meetings across the city find the hourly driver service the most efficient and professional option available. Your driver takes you from one appointment to the next, waits without extra charge, and keeps your schedule on track.

Families with children. Rome with young children demands flexibility: impromptu breaks, slower paces, pushchairs and luggage to manage. A dedicated driver removes all the logistical stress and turns a potentially exhausting day into a relaxed experience for the whole family.

Special occasions. Anniversaries, wedding proposals, private celebrations — the hourly driver adds a layer of exclusivity that makes any occasion memorable.

All prices are per vehicle, not per person. They include driver, fuel, city parking and unlimited kilometres within the Rome urban area. For out-of-town excursions — Tivoli, Castelli Romani — a small supplement is agreed in advance at cost price.

  • Professional NCC-licensed driver with full ZTL authorisation for Rome's restricted zones
  • Premium vehicle — Mercedes E-Class saloon or V-Class van — air-conditioned and spotlessly clean
  • All parking costs covered for the entire duration of the service
  • Unlimited waiting time during visits: you are never charged for time spent inside a museum, restaurant or shop
  • Mineral water on board, complimentary
  • Unlimited kilometres within the Rome urban area
  • WhatsApp support before and throughout the service

Not included: museum entrance tickets, restaurant or café bills, motorway tolls for out-of-town trips (charged at actual cost, no markup).

Recommended lead time: at least 48 hours. During peak season (April–October) and around major events, booking a few days ahead guarantees your preferred vehicle is available.

Frequently asked questions

A single transfer covers one fixed route from A to B (e.g., hotel to Colosseum). An hourly driver stays with you for the entire booked period, ready for multiple stops, itinerary changes, and however long you want to linger at each location. It's the ideal choice if you have several destinations or prefer total flexibility throughout the day.

The minimum booking is 4 hours (half day). For single point-to-point journeys, a standard transfer starting from €55 is available. With 4 hours you can comfortably visit the Vatican and Trastevere, or the Colosseum, Roman Forum and Aventine Hill, without any rush.

Yes. All parking costs during the service are covered by us. You won't need to worry about finding a space or paying for blue-zone or private parking. Your driver will stay close to your point of interest and come to you as soon as you're ready to move on.

Absolutely. Flexibility is the main benefit of the hourly service. You can add stops, change the order of visits, spend longer at one place or skip a destination entirely. The only constraint is the total duration of the booked package (4h or 8h).

For executives with multiple meetings across Rome, an hourly driver is the professional solution. Your driver takes you from appointment to appointment, waits outside at no extra charge, and handles traffic and restricted zones. You stay focused on your next meeting instead of chasing taxis or dealing with logistics.
