Book Fiumicino Transfer

Travelling by plane with young children is already a challenge on its own. Adding the stress of an unlicensed taxi without a proper car seat, or struggling with a pushchair on a crowded bus, can turn your departure into a nightmare. Our private NCC transfer to/from Fiumicino airport with children solves all these issues: certified ISOFIX car seat, spacious vehicle, and a driver who monitors your flight and helps with luggage.

Available car seat groups (on request):

| Group | Child weight | Seat type | How to request | |-------|-------------|-----------|----------------| | Group 0/0+ | 0–13 kg | Infant carrier/egg seat | Specify age & weight at booking | | Group 1 | 9–18 kg | Forward-facing with back | Specify age & weight at booking | | Group 2/3 | 15–36 kg | Booster with/without back | Specify age & weight at booking |

ISOFIX is the universal anchoring system that fixes the seat directly to the vehicle's chassis — far safer than the older belt-only method. All our Mercedes vehicles (E-Class and V-Class) have ISOFIX anchor points on all rear seats.

To request a car seat, simply note the child's age and approximate weight in your booking form. The driver installs and checks the seat before pickup. No extra charge.

The E-Class saloon suits families of up to 4 with normal luggage. The V-Class minivan is the right choice for families of 5 or more, two pushchairs, extra sports equipment, or anyone who wants more room for the children during the journey.

  • Favourite snacks and drinks with a straw
  • A full change of clothes in a zip bag
  • Enough nappies for the journey plus 2 spares
  • Wet wipes
  • A charged tablet or favourite toy
  • A light blanket (the car is air-conditioned but babies get cold quickly)
  • Dummy in a sterile case (for infants)

For infants under 12 months, consider feeding during the journey — sucking helps regulate ear pressure and soothes the baby.

For arrivals, the driver monitors your flight in real time. Even if delayed, they will be waiting at the terminal. No extra charge for delays up to 60 minutes.

For departures, we recommend booking the car at least 3 hours before international flights and 2.5 hours before domestic flights. With young children, always add 30 extra minutes.

| Flight type | Check-in opens | Depart Rome (recommended) | |-------------|---------------|--------------------------| | Domestic | H-1:30 | At least H-2:30 | | European | H-2:00 | At least H-3:00 | | Long-haul | H-3:00 | At least H-4:00 |

With children under 2, always add 30 extra minutes for feeding, nappy changes, and priority check-in. Morning departures (5–7 am) see the lightest traffic on the A91 motorway (30–40 minutes from central Rome); rush hours (7:30–9:30 and 16–19) can extend the journey to 50–70 minutes.

In Italy, a car seat is required for all children under 150 cm tall or under 36 kg. For newborns, an infant carrier (Group 0, up to 10 kg) is required; for children up to 18 kg a forward-facing seat (Group 1); from 15 to 36 kg a booster seat (Group 2/3). Please specify your child's age and weight when booking.

Can your van accommodate families with more than 4 people?

Yes. Our Mercedes V-Class minivan seats up to 7 passengers with ample luggage space even with a pushchair. For groups larger than 7 we can arrange two coordinated vehicles.

Can I bring a pushchair in the boot?

Absolutely. Both the saloon and the minivan have large boots. The pushchair goes in folded, but for bulkier models we recommend booking the minivan for extra space. Please specify the type of pushchair when booking.
