No train reaches Amalfi. The public alternative means a train to Salerno + packed SITA buses on winding roads.
The nearest railway station to Amalfi is Salerno (35 km). From there, crowded SITA buses on the SS163. With luggage it's a nightmare. A door-to-door transfer solves this.
The coastal road between Salerno and Positano is one of Italy's most spectacular and challenging. Our driver knows every passing point, low-traffic window and shortcut.
Ravello for the gardens, Praiano for a quiet beach, Cetara for the anchovies — we arrange any stop along the way at no extra cost (short stops).
The driver collects you directly at the hotel entrance. No metro, no taxi, no rush. The holiday starts the moment you get in the car.

Starting from €380 for the business sedan (up to 3 passengers) and €480 for the premium van (up to 7 passengers). Fixed all-inclusive price: tolls, Wi-Fi, water on board. No surcharge for traffic or agreed short stops.
Around 3 hours 30 minutes: approximately 2h20 on the motorway (A1+A3) to Salerno, then about 1 hour on the SS163 coastal road. Times may vary in high season (June–September) when the SS163 is busier.
Absolutely. Ravello, Praiano, Cetara, Minori, Maiori — any detour on the Coast is possible. A short stop (30–45 minutes) is included in the fixed price. For longer visits we agree a small supplement.
Yes. Positano is on the same SS163, about 15 km before Amalfi. If your destination is Positano, also check our dedicated [Rome–Positano transfer page](/transfer/roma-positano).
The return Amalfi–Rome is booked separately or combined with the outward journey for a combined rate. We recommend an early morning departure (07:00–09:00) to avoid SS163 traffic.
