The cost of a private driver depends on four main variables:

  1. Type of service — point-to-point transfer, multi-stop tour, hourly hire
  2. Distance and route — airport route, city route, long-distance route (e.g. Civitavecchia)
  3. Type of vehicle — saloon for up to 4 people, van for up to 7 people
  4. Time of day — the NCC model works with fixed prices; night supplements are agreed upfront

The NCC (Noleggio con Conducente) model always works with a fixed price agreed in advance: no meter, no traffic-related variables, no extra cost at the time of payment.

| Route | Saloon (max 4 pax) | Van (max 7 pax) | |---|---|---| | Fiumicino (FCO) ↔ Rome centre | €72 | €90 | | Ciampino (CIA) ↔ Rome centre | €60 | €70 | | Rome centre ↔ Fiumicino (departure) | €72 | €90 |

The price is per vehicle, not per person. A group of 4 pays the same as a single passenger.

Civitavecchia transfers

| Route | Saloon (max 4 pax) | Van (max 7 pax) | |---|---|---| | Civitavecchia Port ↔ Rome centre | €160 | €150 | | Civitavecchia Port ↔ Fiumicino | €160 | €160 |

For port transfers, the service includes real-time monitoring of the ship's docking time.

Full day with a driver in Rome

There are two distinct full-day products, often confused with each other:

  • Free day (8 hours): driver at your disposal, flexible itinerary agreed with you, no fixed route — from €250
  • Rome Tour (8 hours): guided itinerary with fixed stops (Colosseum, Vatican, Pantheon, Trastevere), recommended for those who want an optimised programme without having to plan anything — from €300
  • Civitavecchia day trip (8 hours): includes return transfer from the port + full day in the city, guaranteed return before ship departure — from €250

| Service | Rate | Notes | |---|---|---| | Free day (8 hours, flexible itinerary) | from €250 | Dedicated driver, unlimited km Rome & province | | Half day (4 hours) | from €150 | Personalised itinerary, max 3–4 sites | | Rome Tour (8 hours, fixed itinerary) | from €300 | Colosseum, Vatican, Trastevere + stops | | Civitavecchia day trip (8 hours) | from €250 | Port transfer included, guaranteed return |

For a detailed itinerary of how the fixed-route Rome tour is structured, see the Rome tour guide: Colosseum, Vatican and Trastevere in one day.

Hourly hire (flexible service)

For those with meetings, shopping or multiple city journeys without a fixed itinerary:

  • Hourly rate: from €55/hour
  • Minimum: 3 hours (€165)
  • Includes vehicle, driver, fuel, parking at our expense

Here is a direct comparison for the most requested route — Fiumicino → Rome centre:

| | Taxi | NCC My Rome Driver | |---|---|---| | Official fare | €48 fixed (from FCO, this route only) | €72 fixed | | Vehicle | Generic, not guaranteed | luxury sedan or V-Class | | Extra luggage | €1/bag supplement | Included | | Flight monitoring | No | Yes, real-time | | Advance booking | Not guaranteed | Confirmed with driver's name | | Max passengers | 4 | 4 (saloon) or 7 (van) |

For the Fiumicino route the taxi has a fixed fare of €48 that makes it competitive. But on any other route — Ciampino, Civitavecchia, tours, hourly hire — the meter can vary enormously depending on traffic. A journey from Ciampino to Rome can cost €35 in light traffic or €60 at peak hours, with no warning.

With NCC the price is the one agreed, always.

Not included:

  • Museum and attraction entrance tickets (Colosseum, Vatican, etc.)
  • Extended extra stops beyond agreed terms (agreed beforehand)
  • Meals or tourist guides

There are no hidden items. The quote you receive is the total to pay.

  1. Contact via WhatsApp or form specifying: type of service, date, number of passengers and — for transfers — flight number or ship name
  2. Receive confirmation and fixed price within a few hours, with no commitment
  3. Confirm your booking and receive the driver's name and service details
  4. Pay at the end of the service (cash or card)

No upfront payment is required for most services. For full-day tours in peak season, a 30% deposit may be requested.

For group travellers, the value compared to a taxi increases: with 3–4 passengers on board, the per-person price drops significantly.

Frequently asked questions

A full-day Rome tour with a private driver (8 hours, vehicle up to 4 people) starts from €300. The service includes a dedicated driver, luxury vehicle, customised stops, internal transfers and stops on request. Museum entrance tickets are not included.

The private transfer from Fiumicino (FCO) to Rome city centre has a fixed price of €72 per vehicle for up to 4 people with a luxury sedan saloon, or €90 with a luxury van for up to 7 people. The price is all inclusive: no supplements for luggage, night hours or airport waiting.

The hourly private driver service in Rome starts from €55/hour with a minimum of 3 hours (€165 minimum). The rate includes the vehicle, driver, fuel and parking at our expense. Ideal for those with multiple appointments in the city or who want total flexibility on itineraries.

Yes. All My Rome Driver rates are fixed price and all inclusive: fuel, motorway tolls, parking, VAT and — for airport transfers — real-time flight monitoring. There are no hidden supplements. Museum and attraction entrance tickets are not included.

It depends on the route. For short trips in the centre (e.g. station → hotel, under 15 min) a taxi is comparable. For airport transfers, tours or routes over 30 minutes, NCC with a fixed price is often cheaper than the meter, guarantees a premium-class vehicle and has no supplements for luggage or hours.

Book via WhatsApp or the online form. We recommend at least 24 hours' notice for transfers and at least 48–72 hours for full-day tours or hourly services. In peak season (April–October) and during major events, booking further ahead guarantees availability of the desired vehicle.
